The houses in Riverview seem alot cheaper than those in Apollo Beach. Is the crime higher in one than the other?

Hi Lilacmama,
I received your personal messages on the Forums site and here. No, Apollo Beach is not apart of Riverview. Just next door to it. Apollo Beach is directly on the Bay, which is the reason for the higher home costs.

Hi Nalexand,
Do you have an opinion on St. Pete? I would like to rent in that area next winter because I have read it is very dog friendly. Any info would be greatly appreaciated!

Hi,
St.Pete has a good side (full of nice homes w character, close to the beaches, nice restaurants) AND a bad side (low income, ghetto, crime ridden areas which has made St.Pete the #1 most dangerous city in the state of Florida) 3 police officers have been killed this year and there is a lot of racial tension in the city as a result.

Crime is higher in Riverview, especially the closer you get to US 41. There is a somewhat bad area East of 41 South of Palm River rd to about Big Bend Rd

Sketchy looking areas, ummm yes, but high crime...ummm no. I live in Riverview off of Big Bend and travel down 41 everyday to work. There is no crime here that I am aware of and I stay up on the news.

Crime wise, yes. Some parts of Bradenton are nice but a few years ago they had a lot of homicides and drive by's in that area.
