I agree. $1/4 mil I think it saves. Is the fluoridation needed? Probably not.
Most toothpastes have it already. How much is too much?

I'm assuming this only applies to those who receive water from the county and wouldn't affect people who live in cities with their own water systems, like St. Pete and Pinellas Park, right?

According to Bay News 9, everyone is affected except for the city of St. Pete.

Also, I agree with previous posters who stated that this not a big conspiracy, nor probably even much of a big deal.

Another poster gave me a good idea with the tinfoil hats. I'm going to do a brisk business selling them at the upcoming convention.
Yes good to know someone with no medical background has so much to say and is an expert on the matter. Many dentists and doctors came out against this move. But hey what do they know...LOL.

Besides what else is in the water here that people should be more concerned about? With all the pesticides that are used here all most year round.

Well in their minds pesticide is ok because the government didn't put it there and it's not the governments job to make sure we have safe water. Even if babies were being born with three eyes it wouldn't matter.

Fluoride is bad because it's good for us and they think it's some big government conspiracy?????

So did they get approval to amend their water license?

Glad I live in the big city north of you; any council that tried to pull a stunt like that based on tin foil hat conspiracy theories would be ridden out of town on a pole, tarred and feathered.

Fluoridation violates the individual's right to informed consent.
Fluoride is not a nutrient. Its sole benefit is topical. Swallowing it can cause harm. 41% of American children, aged 12-15, have dental fluorosis, indicating over-exposure. Minorities are disproportionally harmed (CDC, 2005, 2010).
An unrefuted study indicates fluoride is a risk factor for bone cancer in boys (Bassin, 2006). There is mounting evidence that fluoride is an endocrine disruptor, lowers IQ, and accumulates in bone, increasing joint pain and the risk of fractures (NRC, 2006).
Vulnerable subgroups include bottle-fed infants, the elderly, those with kidney disease, diabetics, and minorities (NRC, 2006).
The chemicals used are contaminated industrial by-products and never approved by the FDA.
