not a lot in Plant City, not much happens there either.. If you choice Lakeland, pick south Lakeland, maybe close to the polk parkway , you can jump on that to avoid a lot of the traffic and come out onto I4, I think you meant your work is near I4/275 , that is called malfunction junction, so no matter where you live , if you have to drive to that area everyday expect delays, heavy traffic etc. Lakeland has a lot more restaurants , shopping , movies, etc more things to do , just avoid the areas of Combee Rd, and Crystal lake area. Rent wise try Village at Lake Highland, they are nice Apartments and are just south of the Parkway, so you could jump on there and be on I4 in less than 10min and be in Hillsborough county like 5 Min after that , and straight to I4/275! Good lUck

I live in South Lakeland (near Polk Parkway) and just got a job in New Tampa (off Bruce B. Downs) and I can say the drive can run smooth for the most part. I fill my car up atleast twice a week.

Both are rural...that's it, and they do have quite a bit of crime for being such small areas. I am sorry, but "Yay Plant City & Lakeland are awesome" is really hard to say...have you even visited these areas at all?

If your job is in Tampa, then you should live in Westchase, Carrollwood, Town & Country. Unless you are the rural type.

Here is a visual:

PS With your V8, you can be sure you'll be LIVING at the gas station....I'd be very careful with that in FL, as it is quite spread and gas is not cheap.

This is awful!

All that money you could be spending on travel, entertainment, and lots of other more valuable things.

I would reconsider my living conditions if I was faced with filling up my car TWICE a week. That's just a waste of money. I am sorry.

True, but not as much money spent, since I spend roughly 70 dollars a week on gas.

WOW! I couldn't imagine doing that, I spent around $59 every two weeks, and THAT hurts a LOT.

I guess if/when you make a lot of money, $70 is cheap! Props to you...I would never do that willingly.
