The only times I've had trouble with "crime" personally happened when I was either off of Nebraska, or going through Ybor.

I am currently living in a suburb of Memphis TN. We sold our house and are buying one in Port Richey. I'm getting mixed reviews on the area, too. I can't imagine the crime could be any worse than Memphis! And even here, the odds of myself being a victim aren't great. It's usually the gangs and druggies doing one another in. I am east of Rte.19 and the pics of the neighborhood look nice. We keep to ourselves and will have a private back yard and pool area so I'm hoping all will go well. I'll see in 2 weeks.

Although Port Richey isn't great, it's definitely better than Memphis! What suburb are you living in? We used to live in Bartlett, but I taught in Millington. I definitely saw my share of crime while in Memphis!
