Just depends on how big of a dip we get in the upper levels. If it digs down deep enough we will get some colder weather. If the dip flattens out the brunt of the colder air will stay north of us and move east.

The weather is going to be what it is going to be. I would expect daily highs ranging from 76F to 82F
over the course of the season exceeding 88F or dropping below 68F only one day in ten.

Exactly right. I actually started laughing out loud when I read the post before yours, when the poster was trying to make the obvious sound technical. Sort of like saying "Uhhhh, well it may rain if there are clouds and it may not rain if there are no clouds". Duh!

However, I can't stand when the temps drop below 60-65. I'm hoping for a relatively warm winter where I don't have to wear pants outside of working hours.
I've only worn pants ONCE since March when I moved here.

It's great here, isn't it. After having the best summer I can ever remember, this Fall is fantastic as well. Winters are great here compared to many other places, but that is when we find ourselves needing pants, sweatshirts and even a light coat on some days.......but not all. It all depends on cold air fronts from the north.

I am not sure how many people are aware, but if a cold air front moves down from the north through this area, it tends to get colder than if a warm front from the southwest pushes through our area. Laymen may not understand this highly scientific phenomenon.

Typically we don't start getting the nice low 80's during the day high 60's to low 70's until the first week of Nov on or around the 6th.

I for one would love to see the humitiy die down more and a bit more breezes. Although it was a very warm winter last year this year and the next were predicted to colder so one can only hope.
