I'm starting to research a possible move to the St. Pete area and would like some feedback on public schools. My daughter is in Kindergarten now and depending on when we move, she would either be in Kindergarten or 1st. She is somewhat advanced and speaks 2 languages so I'd like a high quality education for her with high parental involvement and a great community. I'm also open to homeschooling - are there any hybrid programs in the area?

We would probably rent to begin with but once we buy we'd be looking around $200,000 I think, that will depend on insurance and HOA fees, etc (I haven't priced out insurance in Florida yet but I know it will be much higher than what we pay here in GA). I probably wouldn't want to spend more than $1200 in rent.

I'd like a walkable, young, family friendly area. Needs to be very safe of course.

Thanks!
