moderator cut: image removed I went to a doc for the first time since 1990. I don't have Ins. He gave me some botics to take ,it's a lot smaller in this pic taken last nite. It started out a basbeball size hard lump in my leg 2 weeks ago.

I went to one last Tues, the Doc said nothing and gave me some antibiotics.

They should have cultured it before starting antibiotics. It could very well be MRSA - you should definitely return. They should have drawn a circle around the infection to see if is regressing properly. You should avoid contacting others with it, keep it covered, don't contaminate gym equipment or other items through direct contact. Looks like it could be folliculitis as well or a furuncle- read this
