I currently live on the treasure coast but visited dunedin and really loved it - the bike trail, downtown, breweries, restaurants, gulf waters. I'm toying with the idea of buying a condo there. My spouse and I are in our early 40s, no kids (schools are not an issue), love the outdoors, and wondering about the demographics and jobs. We definitely feel a bit young where we live now. My husband does HVAC and currently has a very long commute along the treasure coast (1+hours plus to job sites). He is 10+ years experienced as an installer and top at his job. We haven't moved because of his job but I wonder if there is opportunity elsewhere especially a place we are really interested in. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Dunedin is great and very affordable, not sure about the employment opportunities. I live in St Petersburg and housing is expensive here.

HVAC is a good job here, as we rely heavily on ac a good part of the year
Dunedin is great if you dont need to be concerned about schools
Depending on what you want to buy, you can find a decent condo most likely nearby for a
very reasonable price.

well condos are tough in Dunedin most are 55+ you can check out the Mediterranean north Dunedin past the causeway/curlew, they are not. Its just one that I know of. Remember though you have to deal with condo fees and they rarely go down. Townhouses might be a choice but they sometimes have them attached. For your husband the skies the limit with HVAC happy hunting

We have not yet been able to visit Dunedin but have been intrigued by the concept of these "green" condos. EcoVillage Dunedin by Greenergy Communities
