I think he wants to know if it's very rural.

In my experience the further north from Pinellas through Pasco, Hernando and then Citrus counties the more rural it is.

I bought a house in the community of Beverly Hills. Its a small community within citrus county. It's located 10 miles from Cyrstal River and 20 miles from Inverness, and it's not rural at all. My community consists of mainly houses. We do have a Winn Dixie and dollar store near, but that's about it. If you are looking for southern hospitalit look some place else, because there is none! Most people who live here are from somewhere else mainly the Mid-West and NY. What brings people to Citrus county county is low property taxes, cheap housing, lots of water activities and being only an hour away from Tampa /St Pete tend to attract people to this area.

So to sum it up: it is very rural.

As far as "southern hospitality", that's in Georgia, South Carolina, etc., Florida is "south" only on the map. It should really be called "south New York!"...Nothing "southern" here.

Take a look to see for yourself. Old Florida, nature coast best describes the area. Very unpretentious and peaceful.
