We just looked at a duplex today we might live in. The landlord lives on the other side and took us in to show us something. While in there, he opened the cupboard under the sink and I saw some tiny cockroaches running away.

I didn't see any in 'our' side. Is it likely we will have a problem with them too, if there on his side? We don't have much choice in where to live at the moment, it's either that or a trailer in a trailer park. I'm thinking that might have the same problem.

Negotiate weekly pest control visits if needed into your lease.

RUN! don't walk, far, far away. Politely thank the landlord for showing you the place and move on. Trust me..roaches are a nightmare you never want to deal with. Plus...there's a chance you take them with you when you move out.
