Is there anyone in real estate that can tell me what the average prices are for a certain neighborhood in St. Pete? I want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off so I can negotiate a fair price. I only know the neighborhood I live in. The place is a duplex. My side doesn't have the backyard. It's a 2/1 in Crescent Lake about one block from the lake. Updated kitchen, wood floors, washer/dryer and water included, a little over 1000 square feet. What would you expect to pay for something like that? Thanks.

Probably about 1000/month unless it's updated. If it is, more. That's a pretty desirable area.

Okay, thanks. I'm glad I turned him down. He was asking $1,400 and wouldn't take less than $1,350. No yard or anything. It was half a house that I would have been sharing the driveway and everything with the other side of the house, not a true duplex. Woooooo. I found one in Kenwood for $1,300. It was the only other one that fits my furniture. I wish I could just buy a place already. Such a waste of money to rent, and the money I had to put down to move in would have been a down payment.

You aren't going to find anything outside of a falling down shack for $1000/month in that area.

I am renting out a very dated looking (old kitchen, older feel, but clean and nice), but sound 3/2 1950's block house in the 22nd ave N / 58th st N area (northwest area) for $1500/mo. And the downtown area is more "desired" at this time.
