If it's relatively stationary over a certain area, most likely to be one of the news channel helicopters or surveying storm damage.

My father flew 'em for a couple of decades, two tours in 'Nam. Said he was so happy to leave it and walk away in his last flight for the Army. Me? I love the sound of them too. I've been around them since I was a kid. My father would let me sit in his AH-1 cockpit. Wish I had pictures. Heard them throughout my life as a kid, then as a Soldier, flew in a few, but never as a pilot. Loaded them up with patients as a medic and Army Nurse.

That's pretty cool! The AH-1 was my favorite helicopter and there are pictures in my photo album here of me sitting in some at Fort Riley.

Not when it goes round and round for hours. That sound drives me nuts as does dirtbikes and all powered bikes and weed wackers with them silly little engines.

Yeah, those helicopters are wonderful at accident scenes. And I am sure that a lot of people get killed ob 19 but the media keeps it hush-hush. Its all part of the conspiracy.
