I've only visited the Tampa area once, having spent a day in downtown Tampa and a day in St. Petersburg. My husband may be getting a job that would be located, from what I can tell on the map, in the Greater Northdale area, a little NW of Busch Gardens. Any suggestions on what would be a good neighborhood with a decent commute? Thanks for any input.

More importantly, what's your housing budget? That's going to have an effect on where you could live relative to this area.

I would like to stay as close to $300k if we were to buy something or $2k if we rent. Thanks for your response.

That is going to cut you out of most decent/safe areas close by, such as Seminole Heights, Tampa Heights, etc. I would think.

You would probably have to head towards New Tampa or Lutz, but even there you're on the ragged edge of housing costs.

I'm sure others will weigh in now that you've got a budgetary number, as this really dictates where you can land.

Good luck!

You can try Forest Hills or a small town home in Carrolwood. I think with your budget can get a town home even in Lutz that has good schools. Single family home will be hard. Try this community. > https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1...66725620_zpid/
