Any of the beach areas would be good for bartending (Treasure Island, mederia beach, St Pete beach etc.)

With so many unemployed right now, people hiring for bartending, waitstaff and retail have more applications than they know what to do with. They can afford to be choosy and will employ only the cream of the crop.

Jobs in this area aren't plentiful at the moment, but with the way the economy is, I doubt they are the greatest anywhere.

Stats show the unemployment rate in St. Pete is 3%. I take it that is an outdated number?

The economy has hit you guys pretty hard. It really isn't like that in a few parts of the country. It is unfortunate because I remember when my own area was suffering in the late 70s/early 80s. It wasn't fun.

My friend is a bartender and she says Ybor city is really great. Lots and lots of bar, but be careful, sometimes the money is slow.
