Okay I am 20 and I'm moving into a 600sqft. 1bdrm/1bth/washer dryer apartment. I'm wondering how much a desposit will be to turn on my electric will be and how much monthly?

id say 140.00, and then about 50.00-75.00 monthly.

You might want to call the power company and ask for the utility bills from the previous year. Of course the previous tenant may have used the electric much more or much less than you will, but it can give you a general idea.
I've done this in NY a few times; found them very accommodating. The family that bought my home did the same thing.
