Wow, the times are a changing! July 1st in fact. This sure will slow down my grocery line, where all the checkers seem to be high school kids. I knew about the smoking law change on July 1 but somehow this one escaped me.

Right after we moved here this law was in effect in Knoxville. They card little old ladies.

Does anyone know what happens if a bussiness gets caught I know someone caught selling to a 49 year old that was stopped going out the door with no id and she has to go before the beer board at a later date? This is the first afense.

good, now everyone has to do what I've been doing since I moved here.
It took a little getting used too, but it's second nature now, I pull it out before they ask.
I am 45 and still carded... I don't care, and it makes my wife feel younger everytime they ask her!!!

We've been doing it since we moved here in 2005. Knox County already had the law in place, I guess. You get use to it after awhile. I feel bad for the cashiers that had to ask. People can be really rude.
