For those of you that can't be there because they have to work - cough cough, I think you're coming down with something that is highly contagious on the 8th of September. Your doctor thinks you should stay away from all co-workers on that date.

Ok - confirmed, we'll be there. Hubby and I with at least 2 children, possibly 3 in tow.

So, whatcha want us to bring? Hot dogs?? As we get closer and know how many we have confirmed I guess it'll be easier to figure out how many we'll need, eh?

So I used to live in Nashville, married in Montery at Bee Rock, and my in-laws are in Cookeville. I check the Tennesse board when I am home sick....tee hee hee. We have been to a get together here in San Antonio of City Data people and it was a blast! Hope you all have fun. Its neat to see who you have been debating with/agreeing with, and learning from!

We're a definite maybe on attending. MB, that is kewl about your hubby's heritage. One of my grandmothers was 1/4 Cherokee; she never cut her hair during her entire life and wore one big braid. She and my dad are very dark skinned with dark eyes and black hair. I am blonde haired and blue eyed. Go figure So, if hubby and I come that will be one Southerner and one Texan (Texans are a bit touchy about being called Southerners, ha!) However, like mb, my hubby is totally immersed and settled in here, so while he may not be a native Tennessean he got here as soon as he came to his senses!

I'm a native Floridian, which USED to be part of the South (it was when I was born!). But like mbmouse, I'm now a convert to Tennessee. So either way, I'm a Southerner.

Well, that's good. I just didn't want it to turn into a "how come they don't have _______ here?" fest.

Or a "do you know where I can find a job/house" fest.

Bleah.

Another native southerner and part Sioux (not that you can tell). My grandpa's family was from the Bear clan in the Wyoming/South Dakota area. So given that we will have both Cherokee and Sioux, we might have more than a fuss fest on our hands lol
