Settled in 1775, Tennessee's 2nd-oldest town is one of my favorite places to explore on foot. Downtown Rogersville is 28 miles west of downtown Kingsport in NE TN. Apologies in advance for the fuzziness of some of these shots:

More amazing photos! I see you just posted these. I have been to Rogersville once, but it was on the extreme west side, near the Food City just off of 11W. I was there back late March before that late season freeze. I do not recall going to this part of town before. Really beautiful!

If you like Jonesborough and/or Abingdon, you'll definitely enjoy Rogersville's historic district...much less touristy than the other two, except during Heritage Days in October.

Wink You're a great ambassador for E. TN, kamoshika!

Wonderful photos, kamoshika. I love the old in-town homes. It must be wonderful to live in a house with so much history.

Rogersville looks like a wonderful town. There are so many places to visit and explore in E. TN. I am so anxious to be there full time and just enjoy.

Thanks for sharing.

Default Just beautiful!

OMGosh those are beautiful pics! Thank you for sharing I'm just amazed how much they look like the little town in PA that I come from. Are there any towns like Rogersville closer to Knoxville (that look this way, with the old homes and trees/brick sidewalks etc.)??

There is a high number of domestic crime and some theft to convenience stores and such which has been linked to prescription drug abuse but there is much less than a large city. From what I have been told by way of Sheriff Dept's in the area, the stats look really bad because EVERYTHING is reported. One officer stated " We report every time some one passes gas in town". hahahhaha
Come check it out, it is a nice little town.
