Hi, me and my fiance (both 27 yrs old) are planning on moving from Florida to Tennessee. As much as we love it here, its becoming to over populated , especially in the winter! We want to move to a town that isnt busy busy busy and heavy traffic. Somewhere thats a small town but still has entertainment and not in the middle of no mans land! We dont need anything super fancy, just basic needs :grocery store, convenience store like walmart, gas stations, shopping, restaurant/bar. Just basic living where we still can go out and meet people our age and make friends. Some of the towns we're looking at are too small though and work is hard to find, but its definitaly affordable.

If anyone knows of any towns that arnt over populated or super expensive but still have everyday living needs please please let me know . Thank you! any and all help is appreciated.

Hello! What towns have you already looked at so people aren't wasting your time with locations you have already crossed off your list?

Look at Cookeville, Murfreesboro, Lebanon, and Tullahoma. All have fairly strong economies and none are overcrowded except for Murfreesboro, which isn't too bad.

Check a twenty - thirty minute driving radius of Nashville or Knoxville since you will be looking for work. Smyrna TN and Powell TN are nice communities.

I like Knoxville area communities. Probably something to do with UT and the mountains. Seymour is a good place. I would avoid anywhere mountainous between Maryville and Newport (e.g. Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg) due to tourist traffic. Property prices around Dandridge can be high because of the lake.
