If you anticipate having to flee into the mountains to survive, why not make it easy on yourself and move to the mountains in the first place?

Wow, this brings back memories... Y2k, anyone?

You know, if you go around quoting the bible and toting a gun, you'll fit right in here. You'll find a lot of like-minded folks in these hills and hollers. There's still a lot that sort of attitude left over from the Y2K craze and the All Rednecks Hate Clinton Era in the 90's. The End Of Days outlook isn't just a 90's fad in East Tennessee, though. Preachers have been talking about it here for a few hundred years.

I do forsee one small problem with your plan, though. Do you have any idea just how many gun-toting hillbillies we have in Tennessee? Well, I'm one and most of the guys I know are too. If there were any major economic problem, not to mention the apocalypse, the deer hunters would be tripping over each other and all the game would be dead within a week. If I was worried about tribulations and such, I'd stock up on beans and rice.
