It's a decent little town. If you go farther up the road, you will run into the towns of intermediate and expert

I drove through Novice last week on my way to Fredericksburg. Actually, I had to get off of the main highway (US 84) and circle through Novice--It is not on the main highway. I couldn't remember where your lots were, but there are many vacant lots on Main Street.

Thanks for all the posts. They've given me some insight. I bought these two building lots back in 2005 after bidding on Ebay. I paid about $800 for the two. It basically entailed getting a quit claim deed to the property and registering it with the town clerk I recall. Taxes are about $8/yr. so I figured I really couldn't go wrong but again who knows at this stage. In retrospect, I probably should have done a little more due diligence. I hope to check out the lots for myself this summer. Any insight is always appreciated.

Anybody know if the train still runs through Novice. If so how often? Thanks.
