Beaumont is ok. There are good and bad areas. It has a lot of amenties, restaurants, and shopping. But it is heavily industrial with chemical plants being a large part of the economy. Like I said there is good and bad. If you are from a large city, then it will be boring for ya. However, it is an easy drive to Houston. New Orleans isn't that far. Also lots of casinos in nearby Lake Charles if you like that kind of thing.
Beaumont is small, but it would be about the 14th largest city in Florida.
