Here's another one I expect to be answered promptly.

While attending college, this person became a rare-book collector. This person subsequently managed a Houston book store before moving to the Washington, D.C. area, and with two partners started a bookshop in Georgetown. In 1988 this person opened another book store in the town where born in Texas, which is famed for being the largest single used bookstore in the United States.

But that is NOT why this person is famous.

Who is this living native Texan and what is this person famous for?

Another source credits "German Methodists" with having founded the church.
Exscuse me joqua....but you didn't answer the questions entirely..well you did but it is not correct...The Little Church was founded under a specific religion and by one person...and this information can be found on-line..
Also, you proceeded with your question before I had a chance to acknowledge whether your answer was correct or not... you are officially stepping on my toes .
Please continue to research the Little Church..the answer is out there.

John Wesley Devilbiss was a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church who is credited with preaching the first Protestant sermon in San Antonio in 1844 and who secured land for a church building in Villita Street in San Antonio between 1846 when he first organised a congregation there and 1848 when his efforts resulted in local Methodist district headquarters being established in San Antonio. The little church was thus originally a parish of the Methodist Episcopal Church, one of the bodies that subsequently merged to form the modern-day United Methodist Church.

The "living native Texan" is Larry McMurtry
He is famous for being a prolific and award winning writer.

The Methodist part is correct but it was not Devilbiss...Devilbiss did, however, encourage this person to join the ministry..go back to your article.
In researching this question I found it interesting that the Little Church is not included in the Texas State Historical Website when I did my searches there.

I don't know if I misread or if the article was inaccurate. I've gotta go to the gym now, so I'm happy for someone else to answer the question.

Well, it's easy to see why, with all the confusion I caused, that you're not on your toes!

I already asked and you responded correctly to my question about Larry McMurtry, so that puts it back in your lap - errr, toes.
