Who lives in a hospital anyways unless you are sick?

And thats the very reason that picture of TMC cant be compared to the first two pictures I posted of Uptown. Its two different types of density. One is a well functioning neighborhood densly packed and buzzing with activity. And the other one is a Huge densly packed "quiet"office park with 1million medical facilities and parking garages...Its a mini DT Houston........Two totally different monsters.

Dallas isn't as dense as Houston, bud.

Maybe some of the buildings, but not the neighborhoods.

Houston packs more people per square mile than Dallas even though Houston is twice the size of Dallas.

From a skyline perspective, Uptown Dallas is very comparable to the Texas Medical Center even though its not nearly as tall.

I think the sunflower clocks are actually kind of interesting. Reminds me of something out of a Tim Burton movie.

Its very "North Texas".

Sunflowers grow wild on prairies & in fields.

Its one of the reasons Reunion Tower looks like a dandelion.

Largest Business districts in Texas

1. Downtown Houston- 46M sq ft
2. Texas Medical center 30M sq ft
3. Uptown Houston/ Galleria- 29M sq feet

4. Las Colinas- 27.5M sq feet
5. Downtown Dallas 27M sq feet

Downtown San Antonio and Austin don't even come in the top ten.

In fact Downtown SA has just over 5M sq feet of qualifiable commercial office real estate which would put it behind 12 of Houston's districts including Sugarland, Greenspoint, Greenway, etc and it is also behind 10 DFW districts and 3 Austin districts and one SA district. So DT SA is the 27th largest office district in Texas.

DT Austin is the 19th biggest business district in Texas.

Houston and DFW dominate the top ten Business districts in the State. The first Non Houston/ DFW district comes in at number 15 on the list

There is more Office Real estate in DT Houston than all of Austin Metropolitan area. There is also more Office Real estate in Uptown Houston than in all of Metropolitan San Antonio.

TMC, Las Colinas/ Irving and DT Dallas also has more space than all of SA metro. Crazy stats

all info from Grubb Ellis: Grubb & Ellis :: Services by Client Type

Then again, Manhattan almost has as much office space as DFW and Houston metro put together.

Both the TMC & Uptown Houston are larger than Downtown Dallas!

How crazy is that?

Any stats on DT Fort Worth?

Its probably about the size of Houston's Greenway Plaza.
