I disagree. I think the poll is somewhat accurate. I frequently visit all major cites in Texas due to my friend that live in them. I'm not seeing Ft. Worth being as lively as some say, deff not from my visits. Now that's a true "homer" statement IMO.

Houston has the best DT, period! Its just more "world class" than the others and deff have way more stuff going on. Idk how Austin is catching up but its not better than Houston, that's for sure.

To me: Houston and San Antonio have great DT's. The rest are at are below average..btw I'm in DT Houston just about everyday and some of you are cazy if you think a DT that large is not going to be busy...DT is not a 8 - 5 DT (like some say) that's for sure. There is a nightlife in DT...which is the best place to club in Texas IMO.

You probably need to get out more often.

I love Houston, and it is best in several categories in Texas. But as far as having the BEST downtown area in the state...

2) Ft. Worth
3) Austin

Ummm...I've been to Downtown Fort Worth, what's so great about it? Yes, it's more vibrant than Downtown Dallas but it's also way smaller than Downtown Dallas. If Downtown Fort Worth was the same size as Downtown Dallas I highly doubt it would be as vibrant. Downtown Dallas will never be completely vibrant; it's just too big, but I do believe that large pockets of Downtown can be. The size of Downtown Fort Worth is more comparable to Uptown Dallas.

*sigh*

Let me guess... you think DTFW is ONLY Sundance Square, right?

(Also... Manhattan, Chicago, L.A., Atlanta, San Francisco, Philly, D.C., Seattle, Miami... all either have bigger or equally as big downtown areas as Dallas, STILL more vibrant. Not much of an excuse.)

No. I've been all over Downtown Fort Worth. What's unique about it?
