We're going to come south from Carlsbad, NM on that road to reach I-10.
Is this a scenic drive at all?
Thank you.

I drove that route at night before and never killed so many jack rabbits in my life. They literally would run in front of the car. It was like a mass suicide. Drive it during the day! By the way its been 3 years since your post....did u drive it?...lol

I am interested in moving to a very quiet, remote area with warmer Winters, and I am use to living in the desert, so heat won't bother me. I live in the middle of nowhere now, so as long as I can find a grocery store within a one hour drive, I am fine. Is the area between Van Horn and Valentine good for growing your own vegetables, etc? And would there be difficulty in getting water on your property, or would I have to have a well dug? Would appreciate any replies. Thanks.
