My overall favorite burger is from a place called Grumps located in Stephenville, Texas. The burger is very cheap and tastes great. Fries and shakes are great too. Also love the atmosphere of the restaurant. I believe there are a few other locations in nearby towns but that is the only one location I ever went to. I can still picture it although it has been years since I went.

Whataburger is a straight 5 out of 10 established. It is ok. Nothing more nothing less.

People are comparing Whatburger to fast casual restaurants which is not fair. Keep the comparisons to fast food chains such as Sonic, McD's, In And Out, BK, JBX.

Whataburger, the original one with cheese is the best tasting fast food burger in my opinion. I just love the tanginess of the mustard, pickles and onion, all I ever order is the sandwhich, no fries no drink or any other sandwich on the menu. I don't like sweet sauces like In And Out and big mack.

I only eat, and like, the Whataburger "Just a Burger". It is their small hamburger that comes with mustard, onions and pickles. It has a delicious flavor. Until I discovered it, by accident, years ago, I did not like Whataburger. It is one of the only 4 FF hamburger restaurants I eat at. And no, I don't eat, or am impressed by, In-n-Out, or any of the overpriced big, expensive burger chains.

Funny story: when I lived in my former home state, and my new SIL from a different state as both my current and former states, who has an accent, would speak to me on the phone, he mentioned Whataburger in several conversations. I would wonder "What the heck is Waterburger"? It wasn't until I moved to my current state that I saw the correct name of the place.

^^ Yup, only Dairy Queen (Texas DQ version not the generic rest of the country DQ) does it about the same with the HUNGR-BUSTER. This burger also has that distinct TANGY taste that I love due to the mustard, pickles and onions.

I like Whataburger. It’s not the best but everything I’ve had is pretty good. I just didn’t go often because I felt it’s a wee bit expensive. At that price I’m willing to make the leap to a sit-down restaurant.

I just paid nearly four dollars for a medium iced tea at Whataburger.
