du-YAM, Texas Tallest! You realize that you post thirty pictures of new developments in Houston every day. I've been doing the math. That would be approximately 11,000 new skyscrapers built in Houston every year. That means Houston builds more skyscrapers in a year than exist in all of Toronto!

Lol, are you talking a about the posts BCB and I made the other day? This isn't a "new" development, we've known about it for months.. Just an update of the cranes going up on site since it's turning out to be a fairly impressive job site. Don't act like there isn't any activity going on in Dallas to report...

so im still confused.. can we not post renderings at all? even if we post the link under them/cited the site they came from? i get that you need permission to use photographs, but are renderings not different? they are widely distributed on the net all the time..

also, info about another new highrise were starting to learn about in uptown Houston, just north of San Felipe on 610. (where the Micro Center is.. its going to move to a new location)

^^^^ If you did not create the art/photograph then you do not have the right to distribute it...it's not your property.

How much of the seven million square feet of space is new construction? Does it have retail as an anchor.

It is interesting how the most upscale corridor for premium office space in Houston is still in downtown Houston, which I believe to still be Louisiana Avenue, while the same for the Dallas area is in Uptown. Actually, it is a split between McKinney in Uptown, the Arts District along Ross, and within Preston Center in North Dallas.

It is hard to beat that iconic wall of office buildings in downtown Houston while what is actually the Main Street of Dallas continues growing northward. Consider how that designation has gong from Main Street, to Ross Avenue, to Woodall Rogers Freeway, to now McKinney Avenue?

It is difficult to rate the prime of office development in the vicinity of Turtle Creek involving Trammel Crow and Hillwood, or count that of Preston Center because that space isn't built along a corridor.

Hines' 49 story 609 Main tower broke ground yesterday in downtown Houston. They are starting on the new tower while the demo team continues dismantling the Texas Tower, on the other portion of the block.
