This is gonna be such a bonaza for those traveling into and out of North Texas beginning in October when the Wright Amendment expires. Congrats North Texas for finally getting into the 21st century of competetion in air fares, and you can thank Southwest for that.

Youre going to be sorely dissapointed. What will happen over time is that AA will lower their fares some and WN will raise their fares some and they will meet in the middle. That is what has happened on just about every market WN entered that AA already served. Even then, only the markets that will see nonstop service will be affected. WN actually has higher average paid fares on most markets where AA and WN currently compete.

Southwest isnt a charity, they are going to get theirs.

It's great news that the Wright Amendment is expiring at around the same time that DART reaches DFW. Great news for both airports and two big reasons two visit N Texas. I expect an increase in regards to air travel to this area and an even bigger jump in rail ridership.

That's awesome that DART goes to DFW. I may be wrong but that means Dallas is the only Texas city with rail service to/from the airport.

Well Dallas and all the cities that are DART members, but of the major cities yes. Fort Worth also has plans to reach the airport from the west side.

Agreed on DART ridership, but air O&D numbers will probably not change much.
