Can you live in anywhere in Texas without a drivers license? I have way too much anxiety and drive and I don't want it to ruin my life. I want to be able to make friends, date women (and find a serious girlfriend and eventually wife) and be able to go places when I need. I would rather be dead then have to live alone at home my whole life and I mean I'd rather be dead LITERALLY.

Maybe the Northeast would be better for you as far as public transportation goes.It is not something that Texas is known for being very good at.We are very car-centric.Good luck with your life.

Most of the major cities have public transportation, but I'd give the edge to Houston and Dallas. You would be limited to close in areas though.

Maybe Austin if you stay close in? I'm not sure about public transportation there but the city center is pretty walkable. I know some people are car-free in Dallas but mostly not by choice. I don't think any place in Texas can be close to the Northeast.

My brother lives in Austin and has not had a car in about 30 years now. He rides the bus to work and to downtown (although he lives off I-35 near 290, so not that far), and walks to a lot of stuff. Bums rides occasionally.

I was looking a lot into Austin but found out its a very liberal town and I'm not liberal so I'm worried I won't be able to find like minded people, including a girlfriend. I AM making it a priority to move somewhere I have good chances of getting a girlfriend because I want to move for a new start and don't want to move AGAIN. I will not accept the life of a loner.

Yep out here all the convenience stores have horse troughs. We all just jump on our horse when we got somewhere to go. All the apartment buildings have horse stables in the parking lot. Its great.
