Alright, let's get the elitist trash talking going. Between Dallas and Fort Worth, who's got the better selection of mansions (by whatever criteria you wish to use)? Which city does rich right?

Well, it basically boils down to Westover Hills in Fort Worth vs. Highland Park/Preston Hollow/Swiss Ave. in Dallas. I dont see how Fort Worth would come out on top in this category.

As I suggested in my original post, it all depends on your criteria; quantity or quality, in-your-face ostentatiousness or privacy, exclusiveness or community integration, new money or old money, etc. There's a lot go by and not quite so cut and dry as it looks at first glance.

Fort Worth does have 9 billionaires within its city limits, including the richest person in Texas. That's nothing to sneeze at.

Of course not, I just dont see how its going to match the sheer quantity of the mansions in Dallas or the diversity of architecture.

Dallas will win on sheer numbers. For Ft Worth I would add Rivercrest, which to me is separate from Westover Hills. Also Colonial/Park Hill. Newer areas, Mira Vista/Montserrat west side. I suppose we arent discussing suburbs either.

You may have a point as far as quantity but not sure about diversity in architecture. It's some pretty nice mansions on the Westside of Fort Worth. Most of Fort Worth mansions tend to be in the thicket, hills, and more secluded areas. It's really not just in your face.

Lol... I love how there have already been two separate mansions from Fort Worth mentioned in this thread that belong to two different divorcees of the same Bass brother.
