I would love to hear from some native Texans about good places to live for a young family. My husband and I are looking to move south from Connecticut. We both enjoy the warmer weather and have just started researching Texas and Florida. We are looking for a good place to raise a family (we have 2 kids ages 7 and 4). We don't want to live right in a city but don't mind being near one. I am a librarian, also certified to work in public schools as a library media specialist and my husband has a degree in criminal justice as well as business experience. Any suggestions?
Thanks ahead of time!

Default Budget

After selling our home here I am hoping to have between 15-25K for a down payment and would be looking for houses in the 200 - 300K range. Thank you!
