How do Texans, and Southerners in general, respond to being called a "Yank" by people from the UK and its former colonies.

No, why should we be offended?

In general, that is just how some folks in the UK refer to us. So although I can't speak for everyone, it's nothing something I personally consider offensive. Now with that said, I guess one could say it with the intent of being offensively but I've never encountered it being used that way.

No, no problem at all, as long as it is said with a British 'accent' .

The English seem to have greater issue when I refer to them as pasty, gap toothed sexually ambiguous Limeys!

So, all's good.

Bingo. Any other kind of accent and those are close to being fightin' words.

Right on.

I personally get a kick out of it. With my southern drawl mixed with a Texas twang, it's not very often I get called a Yank!
