I loved Dallas Field Office. I loved Big Spring Field Office. They were lovers of mankind and scientists.

I reside in Dallas County. This county is old Democratic. We in Irving are conservative but Dallas makes everything go here. Dallas is the economic engine for the whole area.

Dallas Forth Worth is a command control place with many Fortune 500 headquarters.

Default Houston and Dallas

They are both decent places to live. Neither of them are the "Baum diggity" or "all that and a bucket of chicken". They are simply places to live, work and play.
They both have uncomfortable weather, heavy traffic, pretty much flat and featureless, neither has much in the way of natural beauty, neither are an outdoorsy place, neither has an organically hip culture.
They are both places where you can get a job, live affordably (this is eroding), get decent friends, go to church, go shopping, go to museums, performing arts and eat and eat and eat more.
They both have decent man made entertainment etc..
It's too bad that California became such an expensive difficult, overcrowded and liberal place to live because California was much more desirable than Texas before all the people ruined it. Ultimately neither Dallas nor Houston could hold a candle to the California cities or really any of the big cities in the West. They also lag behind the Northeast Cities like Boston, New York, Philly , , DC. and probably even Chicago and Miami. So ya, they are both pretty far down the list. All those metro areas add up to over 100 million people.

Unfortunately, Irving hasn’t always had very positive press when it’s come to social issues which then makes Dallas appear to be that way to outsiders. Dallas has to do damage control to show the World we aren’t backwoods when those types of news stories make their rounds.
