Seattle gets the honors of being the most introverted city in the US. What would be considered one of the more introverted Texan cities?

Tejas = friendly! There aren't any introverted cities in Texas! This is an extroverted place. If I had to pick one, maybe Waco? Lubbock? Odessa!

How do you measure a city's introversion level?

San Antonio is probably the LEAST introverted city. Party, party, party.

I'd think people were friendlier if they'd leave me alone.

I'd probably say Midland. Seems to just be oil folks keeping to themselves.

Odessans love a good party.I would not say Midlanders are introverted......we love to volunteer,go to church,go to football games and go to fundraisers and socialize. Midlanders are very friendly.

It's interesting how some equate introvertedness with being unfriendly. Obviously, introverts don't go out their way to speak to strangers, but I would say they're not outgoing rather than unfriendly. In the workplace, the biggest bullies are usually extroverts, so I wouldn't equate extrovertedness with friendly either. Those who gossip at church and school functions are also not friendly. Being friendly is about being kind, not about throwing parties.

Good point L210....i can see how not being outgoing could be mistaken for unfriendlness.

Uptown Dallas seemed pretty introverted to me when we lived there. Mostly young professionals in our apartment complex who never cracked a smile or said hello.

Once you got a little further out that would disappear and you'd get more friendly native Texans, though.

How do you know those people weren't friendly to people they know? Or, how do you know that they weren't extroverts who were unfriendly? I don't think most people even know what it means to be an introvert or extrovert. It has nothing to do with being friendly.
