That's not a helpful post. I grew up in Ohio and have lived in 6 states. Each state has its advantages and disadvantages. I've yet to visit any place that completely lacks culture.

I miss four seasons, snow, fall leaves, crisp fall days, being able to wear a sweater all day, needing a coat, wearing fur lined boots,

From Ohio originally and then years in Atlanta. I miss snow at Christmas, fall colors, cool autumns, basements, and hearing people say "pop."

Miss the Mountains the most. Grew up in California, but have lived all over the place including Japan and Germany. Coming from Germany sure missed the green.

I grew up in Ohio as well, and have lived in 7 other states. I thought this was a "subjective" question. Of course every place has it's advantages and disadvantages. Someone postd that they missed "Goodness," that was their opinion. It never occurred to me that they meant Texas was really evil. I thought they were making a point from their perspective, as I was from mine. I don't find a lot of posts helpful, but I find many interesting; even when I don't agree, and many times I don't.

I was born in a small town in Texas. I left at 14 to live with an older sister who moved on to greener pastures. I received a good highschool education after leaving. I guess I lost my mind. After living in San Diego and Los Angeles California the rest of my adult life. I came back here.........I don't even want to start............I HATE IT HERE...........NOW CAN'T SELL THE HOUSE (PROPERTY VALUES FELL) PROPERTY TAXES WAY TOO HIGH....HOME OWNERS INSURANCE 4 TIME WHAT I PAID IN CALIFORNIA.........EDUCATION LEVELS IN SOUTH TEXAS (LOW) LOT S OF COWBOY RETARDS HERE..........I PRAY TO GOD AT LEAST 5 TIMES A DAY THAT I BE VERY GOOD IF HE CAN HELP ME GET THE HELL OUT OF HELL................YES SIR!!!!!!!!1THIS IS HELL ON EARTH

nilegirl...I am in CA right now and real estate is the same all over, property values fell here as well. I can`t believe you are paying 4 times the property taxes there in TX, especially coming from the Los Angeles area where the cost of living is second highest to only New York, but will give you the benefit of the doubt.
