Tell that to my friend whose car was rear-ended by an illegal with no license and no insurance.

If walls don't work, why did Biden build one around his house?

Let's start by tearing down the wall around the White House and Pelosi's house.

No walls for me, then no walls for you.

You cant seriously compare building a wall around a singular structure vs. one thats thousands of miles long.

The wall around the WH started in 1801 and rebuilt in 1817 after the Brit/Canucks successfully burned the WH. Is that what you want, to burn it down?

Did that wall stop the sad rioters? No. The military did. Keep thinking walls work

Oh they can compare non-comparable things all day long, because actual logic isn't necessary in 2021. Non-sequiturs like this win the day it seems...

It's like saying "why can't I walk in the middle of the freeway? I walk in the middle of the street in front of my house all the time and there's no problems!"

You can't seriously deny principles can you.

As has been argued many times on here a border wall won't stop illegal entry into the US but it is a tool that can reduce it.

So R U for or against reducing illegal entry into the US ?

*illegal immigrants

It seems like it could certainly help reduce people illegally entering the country, but I don't think anyone is expecting it to solely do the job of keeping illegal immigrants out.

With the amount that wall costs, Id rather spend it on other items like American infrastructure, healthcare for the poor, and increasing boots on the ground by the border. Id be all for cracking down on illegal immigration harder if it was about 3x easier and cheaper to come here legally and DACA was enshrined. Having spent time in places like Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Venezuela, I do understand why they risk everything.

Comparing it to a wall around a house is quite ridiculous. Thats like saying, "you know basic algebra so why cant you do quantum physics?".
