someone on another forum did but i just checked for myself and it looks to be 38. i guess we will have an "official" floor count sooner than later now that the cat is out of the bag, but i dont see why they would pay someone to sketch up renderings of a tower with the wrong number of floors.

This is what I'm excited to see. I posted about this in a separate thread last week. This is a true game-changer if they can figure out the shade issue (since Centerpoint is insisting upon no trees in the easement).

Houston First Corp. on Tuesday announced it would begin taking proposals from developers for a hotel to be built atop its planned new headquarters in the building it will share with other Houston-focused organizations.

Exact plans will be left to whoever gets the contract, but a conceptual rendering released Tuesday shows a sleek glass-and-steel addition that would place about 400 hotel rooms above the recently announced office building that will be home base for Houston First, the Greater Houston Partnership, the Greater Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Center for Houston's Future.

The 15-story hotel would sit on top of the planned Greater Houston Partnership Building and 1,900-space parking garage directly behind it and be directly north of the George R. Brown Convention Center.

I took this from a Houston in n out thread.

“I chose Houston for Mascalzone’s first U.S. location because of its vibrant, growing international community and adventurous palates,” Magi said in a release. “I’m excited to bring old and new favorite Italian dishes to the community and offer an experience that is 100 percent Italian and 100 percent unique.”
Bottom line, the food options in Houston are better, more diverse, and more "sophisticated", if you will, than any other place in Texas, and its not even close. I've forgotten more about In 'N' Out burger than anyone in this forum will ever know, and I am a bit happier that Houston gets good restaurants, as opposed to becoming just a reliable satellite to another American macro-chain (big hint - In 'N' Out will not change your life). You will get your double-double in due time, but please, enjoy one of the best food scenes in America.
