Wow...Gas is $1.75 in Dallas.

I'm wasn't trying to imply that Houston is overall dependent on oil, nor was I saying that Houston would be the only one affected. Oil is a nation wide issue, I'm aware.

My point of that post was just saying that I'm enjoying this little break right now and being able to fill my SUV up for less than 30 bucks. Its normally well over $50. Some people are freaking out on here, starting threads saying that " Texas needs to tax oil" and all that b/s. One thing is as sure as we all are gonna die, oil prices WILL be back up within the next few months, probably with a vengeance and higher than before. I'm just enjoying it while it lasts.

And dallasboi I'm in austin where things seem to tend to be more expensive but on the other hand, I haven't had to fill up for a week so I may have missed the current gas prices as of today, the 20th.

I like the article points out that in Dallas Insurance is king because of State Farm, but he leaves out a huge portion of Houston's office number was because of the Exxon campus.

Steve Brown must not like the fact that Exxon is building a medium sized city in Houston right now.

Yeah, you can get it in the $1.40 range at certain Bucees in the Houston area with a Dow card/car wash.

I guess one of the upsides to having a bunch of little arbitrary districts is anytime there is any "activity", that district is considered "on fire". Lol
