You think Texas and everyone in it is better than the rest of the world. Honestly, how realistic is that? There are tons of places in the world that are way more scenic than Texas. It is just the way it is with many. I had a brother-in-law whom I dearly loved, but his obsession with Texas was a bit more than I could stand at times. That's what turns me off, to a certain extent, to Texas. It isn't the state, but the arrogance of some people.

When I worked for the Texas school system from 1984 to 1991, we did not pledge to the lone star state's flag but when I went back to working for the Texas schools in 2004, they were pledging then. I started a thread many months ago on the "General U.S." forum (I think) about this and there are other states that do it as well.
