Like I said, they are expanding post oak to accommodate for the brt system through the median. It will accommodate for the new mass transit system.

I'm a Houston homer and I agree that uptown has most of the characteristics of a suburb, but the skyline is coming along nicely.

The buildings on the east side of the street still have huge parking lots, Four Oaks Place (new name?) is a typical suburban style highrise development, BLVD isn't right up to the street like it should be, the shopping center on the corner of Post Oak and Westheimer is sitting behind a sea of concrete as well. Also, the fact that Westheimer and San Felipe are straddle that part of the street doesn't help. The entire neighborhood is pretty unfriendly to pedestrians.
