Hello Everyone - I will be relocating to Toronto from the U.S. in a week and will be entering the country on an open work permit. Once in Canada, my husband and I will apply for PR (he has been living and working in Canada for 3 years).

I have been looking online for jobs and would like to know if anyone has suggestions regarding job search websites. I have been using Workopolis, Simply Hired, Indeed, and another that I found on the Canadian Government website. I would like to know if there are others I can use to supplement my current search? I did a search on the Toronto forum and did not see any threads that seemed to list specific job search websites...unless I just am not using the right search terms.

Another question would be if anyone has any experience working with employment agencies? Any recommendations?

I am fairly open to doing different types of work and have worked in many different areas (ex. furniture & flooring sales, customer service, food service, administrative, government). I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Sociology from a state university in Illinois and I have been working for the same university doing administrative and brownfields redevelopment work all over the state. Next fall, I would like to apply to graduate school to get a master's degree in Urban & Regional Planning. Afterwards, I would like to continue to do work involving brownfields redevelopment.

I guess the thing I fear the most is finding any job since I am not a PR or Citizen. I am used to working and have been consistently employed for over 14 years, even working full-time while attending university full-time in order to reduce my student debt. I digress...

I would like to say thank you for reading and also thank you for any help or advice you can extend. I greatly appreciate it
