International student: Housing (2013, apartment, to rent)

Hi, i'm moving to Toronto for college and i'm going to study in George Brown College. First, i'm gonna choose "homestay". I guess i'm gonna homestay for about 2 months then look for housing. Do you know where i could look for shared apartment near GBC. My campus is St. James which is on King Str East.

Hi I am female looking for a female roommate to rent a space in my home located avenue and Lawrence area in Toronto. The house is a brand new built home, walking distance to Starbucks, restaurants, boutiques on Avenue Rd. Few minutes away from subway and highway.
The space includes a furnished private living room, furnished bedroom and a beautiful private bathroom. So it basically is a condo in the most beautiful area in Toronto.

$1500 a month to live no where near campus is not exactly a good deal/ idea for this student. If I where her I would try to find something closer to where school is.
