I wonder if Nissan is the best vehicle on the road now because you never seem to hear recall news on them and the same for Honda.
Toyota is recalling 412,000 passenger cars, mostly the Avalon model, in the U.S. for steering problems in which three accidents have been reported, the automaker said Thursday.
One sentence... bring back the designers and workers that assembled these cars/trucks from 1980 thru 1996. During this time period, Toyotas were the best built and lowest recalled automobile in the world.

Right? Those things were little tanks back in their day. As a matter of fact for my next purchase I was going to look into a Camry of that vintage to have as a durable little econobox. Their recent products are bloated, boring, and just total mediocrity.

I own a 1993 Camry LE and its a pretty solid car for being 17 years old. I have to say the older Avalons and Camrys were alot more attractive then todays Avalons and Camrys.
Absolutely. I had a 1993 Camry LE V6 and loved it! I owned it in 2004. It had 220K miles, but you would never know it. It still looked like brand new, not one squeak or rattle, everything was perfect. Kick myself for selling that car!
