LOL, have you seen the weight of the iq vs your old volvo tank?
And have you seen the vids of head on collisions of cheap cars like Kia slicing through those old heavy volvos like they were butter. You're right... the rules have definitely changed.
(Only sample size of one here)....
A big old 70's-80's Buick hit black ice, crossed two double-yellow lanes, and hit my 240 virtually head-on. It would have been really rude of me to get out and start rolling in laughter, but that person's vehicle was totalled, and I drove home. The only thing I was p*ssed about was it spilled my coffee.
Kia = Keep it away
Subaru = (can't state it without getting flagged)
Hyundai = (can't state it without getting flagged)

Yes. a iQ weighs about 1900lbs, and the displacement of the entire motor is close to each cylinder in one of my V8 heavy irons.
The iQ only weighs 60% of the old 240. Let's get in a head-on. All I care is that I walk away alive. As for you, well it was your choice.

Link please, or no credibility.
If you want to play with toy cars, we can go to 'Toy's are us', an I will buy you a set of Legos.
i saw an Iq on the road. one thing i liked about it was that it didnt look like it was trendy, cool or interesting. just a very small car. i dont want a car with a personality. but a small car really wouldnt work for me anyway, i drive too much on highways and bad weather.
I'm really not sure where you are going with this thread anymore.
I am not sure either.... a 20-something year-old volvo, a '59 Chevy Bel Air?
What does that have to do with anything related to a 'Limited iQ'?
I now drive vehicles (well except for the classics) that are well over 2 tons. Let's get in an accident. Hit me head-on. I'll tell your widow "I am sorry he made such poor choices".
I am just struggling to understand why someone would buy a car, a vehicle as such, I am hard-pressed to find any redeeming qualities for the vehicle. A very simple question. Perhaps you could explain to all of us, the 'needs'.
I will stick to my 'two tons o' fun'. Let's not get in an accident.
But there are only 14 better choices, for a car in that 'class':
First, on that link you posted, look at all the options on it. I was talking base model, which is about $17K.
Quote:"And regardless of diesel's efficiency, it still costs more to get that mileage."
Did you ever take Thermodynamics in college? (assuming you went). The efficiency of a diesel is higher (in dollars per mile driven). Please read about it.
No the base Golf 2.5 is under 20k. Thats not a TDI and you said the TDI starts at 17k. The TDI is over 22k.
Look again.
