This thread is similar to the threads I read about the redesign of the Prius.

I wasn't sure myself, and than I test drove one, and bought one.
The looks are still iffy to me to a degree, but I love it. The safety features, mpg, and reliability had me sold.

That styling is not my cuppa:

What's with the snout?

I'm also no fan of the new Lexus styling. Too many edges.

This is a good example of that style "trend." I'm still shaking my head.

The 2016 Yaris takes the look to extremes=

I cant believe a whole department of Toyota Auto designers sat around a board room and all unanimously decided this is the style they were going to have represent Toyota.

Yuck!

Perhaps that is an example of how Asian styling tastes differ from western preferences.

Remember the wide bass snout of the Mazda 3 and some of those older Subarus?

Each to his own.

But what the iff is wrong with Toyota designers?
Look at this front. It's like someone cut it off a different car and glued onto Corolla.

That looks pretty good considering how ugly the front of the Camrys have gotten.

Anyone else think that some of the newer model Toyotas look like this?

The Lexus is starting to grow on me but I can see the similarities to the newer Toyotas. I thought the wide mouth bass look came from Ford's look with the Maserati influence
