I dont know why a 2008 tundra double cab 4X4 with 75k miles and one owner be cheaper then a 2006 Tacoma Crew Cab 2wd with 138k miles and 2 owners

Tacomas are much more desirable in the market.

Yep, I own a 2007 Tacoma and a 2009 Tundra, both with exactly 100k miles, and the Tundra is only worth about $1k more than the Tacoma. It's crazy.

Overall the Tacoma is a more enjoyable truck, although there are some things the Tundra is just more capable of doing.

Yeah the Tacoma is a much better truck than the other compact trucks through the 2nd generation anyway. The Tundra on the other hand ranks at/near the bottom when comparing to other full size trucks.

That's mindboggling in itself. They're not exactly roomy for their size and the MPGs are pretty close to the Tundra if you grab a Double Cab. I guess that's a testament to that market.
