Where I work, you rarely see a pre 2000 GM, Chrysler, or Ford. Lots of older Toyotas, especially their trucks and 4runners, and Nissans and Hondas though.

Forget it trlhiker, there is no room on this forum for anyone that doesn't bash Toyotas, and certainly not if they do not staunchly defend American cars...

no matter what the truth is...

this was true (from my perspective) when I lived in San Diego. After moving to NC, though, it's almost 100% opposite. I see more GMs and Fords from the 80s and 90s rolling around than I do Japanese vehicles from the same era.

So we're just making it all up? Thanks for calling us liars. The truth was never even considered by Japanese car fans for over 20 years. They have bashed and bashed American cars for years. Now it seems Toyota lovers can not take what they have dished out for years. The truth that Japanese cars are no better, or worse, than American cars comes out and they can't handle it. Well boo hoo!

Would I still buy a Toyota? Yes I would.

I continue to buy any product that has served me well...UNTIL THEY DON'T anymore.

That's why you'll never again see a Ford, GM, or Chysler product in my driveway. When I get a bad Toyota, they will immediately join them on my "do not buy" list.

It's the old saying...screw me once, shame on you...screw me twice, shame on me!

Yes! It's still a good product, with an overall good record.

So, you are saying that you will stop buying Toyota products once they kill you? Great logic.

you know, for a guy who seems to want to keep things civil in his own thread (//www.city-data.com/forum/autom...hat-yours.html), you sure do seem to like to poke the badger here.

Getting a little dramatic there, aren't ya? Any car can kill ya...

What I'm saying is I'll continue to buy Toyotas until they start nickel and diming me to death like the domestics have in the past.

My only "loyalty" is to my wallet...
