Yes, it's a lift bridge alright, but not at Hagerstown. You're very close, though.

This town is the one the Army of Northern Virginia withdrew to after the battle at Gettysburg.

How about Williamsburg? I don't know how many of them there are, or how similar they are to each other.

Close enough. It's Williamsport, MD. Those bridges are over the old C&O Canal.

Jeez, I first typed in Williamsport, then I thought it didn't look right and changed it to Williamsburg.

Here's the next one. This is a two-fer on superlatives. One of only two or three places that I know of in the USA that combines these two superlatives in one.

Not much to go on there, but that orange orb looks very much like a giant basketball on the roof or one in the process of going down.

That looks like a bit of a rooftop garden/sitting area, the orange ball looks like either a shade canopy or a shed for chairs and BBQ unit..
At this point i've got nothing to even start a search with..
