I am turning thirty next year, approximately 11 months from now. I would like to plan a group trip to celebrate. I have a couple of weddings next summer as well, and I may be taking a trip to europe too in June or July. So I know money can be a huge hinderance to getting friends to go somewhere with you. I really like the idea of a wine-tasting in California wine country, but I am open to other unique and more affordable ideas. I live the DC area at the moment, and most of my friends are in the northeast as well.
How should I go about it? Ideally, I could get a group of 4. Anyone here ever plan a destination bday?
Another alternative would be to tell you friends to take you on a surprise birthday trip. it would also be cheaper for everybody concerned (except them).
Are you going to pay for your friends or just expect them to pony up their $$$/vaca time to celebrate your birthday?
